Mission

The purpose of the Great Plains Theatre (GPT) is to enrich lives in Dickinson County and the surrounding area by producing high-quality live theatre and performing arts education. GPT provides a quality professional theatrical experience for this region and serves as a cultural center for many surrounding area events. Through the GPT youth program, Plain Great Players (PGP), we strive to enrich the lives of youth in the area with the use of live performances and educational programs. We believe the power of theatre can provide relief from daily life, transform and cultivate potential in people, and make connections with others through the unique exchange that happens between the audiences and the actors.
