Specific Need
We are thankful to be a part of the annual City of Abilene budget, but these funds only cover the basic needs of our parks each year. We are always looking for ways to improve the efficiency and beauty of our parks.
We are excited that the funds donated on Dickinson County Donate Day, will be matched and in the future, will help in beautifying and enhancing all areas of our city parks.
Mission
The Abilene Parks and Recreation Department has established a mission to preserve and manage public parks and recreation facilities and to create recreational, cultural, education and leisure opportunities to benefit and enhance the quality of life in this community.Photos & Videos
