Specific Need

Great Plains theatre is a non-profit professional theatre and educational enitity. We depend on a combination of private donors, corporate sponsorships, grants, tuition, and ticket sales. The funds provide the means for GPT to maintain the physical space in which we provide professional theatre, as well as provide lots of youth progamming, and present live performances and educational opportunities.

Mission

The purpose of the Great Plains Theatre (GPT) is to enrich lives in Dickinson County and the surrounding area by bringing high quality live theatre and performing arts education. GPT provides a quality professional theatrical experience for this region and serves as a cultural center for many surrounding area events. Though the GPT youth program, Plain Great Players (PGP), we strive to enrich the lives of youth in the area with the use of live performances and educational programs. We believe the power of theatre can provide a relief from daily life, transform and cultivate potential in people, and make connections with others through the unique exchange that happens between the audiences and the actors.
